How classes work

From first idea to something worth showing.

Step 1

Choose a project

Find a class that matches the builder's age and interests.

Step 2

Learn useful techniques

Discover new ways to build, test, tell stories and solve problems.

Step 3

Make it your own

Use those techniques to make choices and develop an original idea.

Step 4

Keep building

Return for another class or continue the project in the Atelier.

October 2026 · Intro classes

One good idea. Ninety minutes to make it yours.

Pick a day. Build, test, change, and show something before you leave. Every Intro class stands on its own — choose any date, no earlier class needed.

An opening lesson sets the stage and shares the day's concepts. You hatch a great idea, then much of the time is yours to make; you'll get guidance, feedback and encouragement along the way. We finish with time to show and share your work, and photograph it for the online gallery.

Dub Dub After Hours

One Thursday evening a month, the House opens for adults only — coffee, conversation, a guest idea and a building prompt. A different way to build with us.

Longer projects

Got an idea that needs more time?

Tell us what you want to make. We'll help find the right guidance, time, and first step. Staff propose a placement and price before enrolment — an enquiry is not a booking.

Keep the idea going

A class can begin a new skill or project.

The Atelier gives young creators room to return, experiment and take an idea further. You do not have to wait for the next class to keep going.
